Lisbon at night & Fado
Information
Take a walk in Alfama, this picturesque medieval neighbourhood, once a Moorish and Jewish quarter, which is almost like a small village in itself. Thanks to its rock-solid structure, it remained standing after the 1755 earthquake which destroyed 85% of Lisbon, making this the oldest neighbourhood in Lisbon. Nowadays, it is almost like a time capsule that can take you on a journey back to the years before Lisbon was destroyed by the earthquake. One could get lost in its maze of narrow streets, alleys, and charming colourful buildings, where the Fado traditions are still very present.
During this walk we will discover the history, the traditions, and viewpoints that this quaint neighbourhood has to offer, and we will even enjoy a live Fado show in the heart of Alfama.
